Andrie Designs Meets Quilters Companion Issue #84

Creative's Tote in QC Magazine Issue #84 - Andrie Designs

UPDATE: The Creative’s Tote has been released! You can find it here!

If you are one of the many talented makers who love to sew both bags AND quilts (and anything in between), and you’ve grabbed yourself a copy of the latest issue of Quilters Companion magazine which hit newsagents this week, you may have noticed a familiar name in the issue…

OMG that’s MY name!!!!! Well, the one next to page 60 anyway… LOL 🙂 I’m still getting used to seeing MY name in print…. It’s a bit surreal I have to say, so please just excuse me while I take a moment to do a little happy dance…

Ok I’m back haha. But YES! In the latest issue of Quilters Companion magazine (issue #84), a brand new pattern by yours truly is featured and can FINALLY be revealed to the world! This project has been in the works for a little while now and it’s beyond exciting to finally see it come to fruition! So, what exactly is the pattern???

Introducing the Creative’s Tote…

Creative's Tote - Andrie Designs

Before I ‘show you around’ the bag, it seems that even I was not aware of the extra ‘station’ during my adventurous train ride (aka re-branding) from Two Pretty Poppets Station to Andrie Designs Station back in January!

Apparently I’ve boarded the train at Two Pretty Poppets Station, taken a brief wee layover at Two Pretty Pockets Station, before boarding the train again and finally disembarking at Andrie Designs Station. LOL!

Anyway! The Creative’s Tote is a beautifully large tote bag that has been designed specifically with the creative maker in mind. If you sew, knit, crochet, quilt, patchwork, scrapbook etc etc etc. (the list goes on!), then this bag has been designed for YOU!

It is a design-your-own pattern, with several pocket options, both inside and outside the tote, allowing you to completely customise it to suit your needs.

If not for craft-related materials, then it would also be a great bag for carrying books, your laptop, overnight essentials, your daily essentials if you’re someone that has to carry everything except the kitchen sink with them, a baby bag, a school bag…. SO many possibilities!!!

Add all the pockets or only include some, add both the handles and cross body strap, or only include one or the other – there are so many ways to customise this bag to be exactly what you need it to be (and then some!).

Unfortunately the pattern will not be available for individual sale until late May (sad, I know, but it will be worth the wait I promise!!), however if you find you simply can NOT wait that long, you are of course more than welcome to grab yourself a digital copy of the magazine NOW via this link here (available worldwide).

Alternatively, you can pick up a printed copy from any good newsagents within Australia.

As always, the amazing Kylie at Handbag Hardware Australia has set up a hardware kit for this pattern so you can get all the goods and get sewing sooner. You can find the listing here.

I think another happy dance is calling so I must away and have a boogie!

Till next time! Lisa x

How exciting for you and that bag is just gorgeous, well looks like I might have to buy the magazine

Lisa -great bag. If they went to press with the WRONG website, you might be wise to “scoop up that domain name quickly” and get the page set up to be “redirecting” from it to your actual page. I know if I was reading the magazine and typed http://www.twoprettypockets.com, I would be highly disappointed to see the big “Sorry – that URL doesn’t exist”. Bad for business….so get your train engineer or conductor busy!! Congrats on the magazine. It will be good for business if the links are right. 🙂
