I know many of us have to do lists that seemingly never end and I’m no different. However, I’ve had two projects waiting to be completed for a while now and every time I look at them, I feel more, well, frustrated, that I STILL haven’t gotten these projects done… I know, I know, life is busy and there’s nothing wrong with having unfinished projects… . Unless you’re me.😉Unless you love and thrive on deadlines, and find it disappointing to NOT meet those deadlines…. 😢 . Now, truth be told, I never actually set specific deadlines for these projects, so technically I haven’t failed just yet, right? However! This post is me making a public declaration that I AM going to get these two projects finished so that I CAN pat myself on the back (and then choose another project and start this cycle all over again lol 😜)! . The first project will be to make the new covers for my pressing table.👍I bought the fabric a while ago, recovered the timber with new batting… and that’s as far as I got.😕Since then, I’ve been making do with a smaller pressing board which works fine but is not the same. Plus, I think hubby is ready for me to finally get this large piece of timber out of the dining room.😂😉 . The second project will be to create the quilt top for the new quilt I’m making for our bed. I’ve had these fabrics chosen for a while, and finally settled on the Cosmos pattern from @colourwerx (to be modified to fit a queen sized bed). And that’s as far as I’ve got. I’m booked with the amazing Raylee at @sunflowerquilting to have my quilt top quilted at the start of June-ish, so I really better get on and get it made, right?! 😳 . To help get these two projects done, I’m posting my declaration of intent here in this public forum to *hopefully* make me more accountable! Raylee is hosting a Finish Along (#ssqfinishalong2018) – that is what has really motivated me to get started – and I will be participating in Round 2 of the Finish Along. My goal is to have these two projects finished by the end of Round 2 on 26 June. 🎉 . Wish me luck! *gulp* 😉
