📏 Bottom material (i.e. cork) - cut width = size of hardware x 2, cut length = as preferred/directed by pattern.
📏 Top material (i.e. cotton) - cut width = size of hardware x 2 less 3/8" (1cm), cut length = length of bottom material + 2" (5cm).
📏 Interfacing - cut width = size of hardware less 1/4" (0.6cm), cut length = length of top material.
