After having to look at my hubby’s shabby, old toiletry bag for one too many trips away, I felt it was time to make him a new one and surprisingly, he agreed! I discussed this need with a very close colleague of mine, and she pointed out that there seemed to be a gap in the market for men’s toiletry bags and so I figured, why not design my own pattern as well!
There were several trial and errors to get it just right, with size, functionality and ease of use being of the utmost importance to my critic (aka my hubby). However, that glorious day came when I finally got it ‘right’. The Hang About Toiletry Bag was finalised!
It was around this time that the same lovely colleague suggested that perhaps we collaborate together, with her doing a women’s toiletry bag. “Heck, why not?” I thought! And while we’re at it, lets throw in one more darling colleague who had the most perfect pattern idea to make it a fantastic trio – the Total Toiletry Trio.
