Hooray! It’s Christmas time! Well, almost anyway! And what better way to prepare than make a start on some Christmas sewing! Yes, I know that’s a scary thought as I’m sure just a few weeks ago it was Easter, but as I’m sure you’re aware, the festive season is fast approaching so there’s really no time like the present to get started on a few Christmas projects I reckon!
I felt it was time for some fresh new fabrics this year so have been playing around with these prints from the Makower UK Christmas 2017 Traditional collection and as it would happen, this collection is available in stores NOW! Woohoo! If you’re in Australia or New Zealand, feel free to pop over to the 2 Green Zebras website to find a stockist near you.
I decided to make two mini sized Classic Clutches, which my daughters have promptly claimed already haha. Of course, I simply couldn’t resist fussy cutting the wee reindeers…. How CUTE does it look!!!
Not familiar with the Classic Clutch pattern? Not to worry! You can find it here!
All pieces are cut, fused and ready to sew! This is the combo for the red classic clutch…
And this is the combo for the green classic clutch… (Check out that fussy cutting! Eek!)
I’m sure you’re aware that I loooooovvveeee to use hardware and can’t help but love pretty much all things shiny… Check out these gorgeous wee wrist straps… *sigh*. These pretties are from Betty Box Pleat.
Next it was onto the assembly of the outer panels. I have to say, I’m pretty happy with how they’re turning out!
After a few more steps, they were done! (Have I told you how quick and easy this pattern is?!).
Check out my finished green and red classic clutches and enjoy all the Christmas cuteness they are oozing!
Naw aren’t they a pretty little pair?!
And with that, I think I’ll head off to plan a few more Christmas projects while I’m ‘in the zone’! Haha!
You can find the Classic Clutch pattern here.
Happy sewing and happy prepping for the upcoming silly season!
