Introducing the Roll With It Tote by Andrie Designs! This is an easy to follow sewing pattern to create your very own beautifully curved tote bag. Designed to show off your favourite fabric, the Roll With It Tote is a practical and eye-catching design suitable for everyday use.
~ The Roll With It Tote has recently been featured in the Quilt Me A Bag blog series (click here) ~
It features piping, classy o-rings, a recessed zipper closure, two outer slip pockets and an inner zipper pocket. It comes in two sizes, small and large, and will cover all your needs from a trip to the races or a coffee date in town, to a shopping day with friends or simply as your everyday tote bag.
This pattern comes with two files – the pattern instructions/pieced pattern pages, and a large print pattern pieces file suitable for printing at your local print shop on the correct sized paper. It has 9 pages of clear, detailed instructions. It is suitable for an advanced beginner sewer. All pattern pieces have been digitally drawn. Wary of zippers? Don’t be! Throughout the pattern I give detailed and comprehensive instructions and diagrams to make adding the zipper/s an easy and stress-free experience.

I really loved making the Roll with it Tote, I used faux leather and metallic Essex linen and it turned out a treat, so much so, my Mother grabbed it immediately. There is quite a bit of piping but don’t be nervous about that, Lisa has done a great tutorial on how to sew in piping which makes it easy peasy

Worked up nicely. The patterns is well written, easy to follow and drafted beautifully. I used a canvas and corduroy, which meant I needed to modify the strap placement. I’m happy with how the bag looks- it’s a beaut! I do wonder if I need to alter the zipper a titch- eliminating the gap between the bag edge and zipper start. It’ll need to be carried around a while to see if things really fall out. I’ve already cut out two more to sew!

I had trouble with viewing thru adobe reader, they responded very quickly with a link for foxit reader, then I had no problem reading the pattern. Thanks for getting back with me so quickly.

Easy to follow directions. I love this tote! I had been searching for a good purse pattern and I’m glad I found this!

Great directions and easy to follow. Interesting shape and I liked the fact the lining was well thought out and uses separate pattern pieces; this means the lining is a better fit than most patterns. Only reason I have given it 4 stars is the size. It is hard to judge from pattern measurements and photos. I was expecting a tote but even the large one is quite small and only handbag sized. Probably should not be described as a tote.

As with all Lisa’s patterns I have purchased so far they are so beautifully designed and easy to follow.
I will have an amazing collection in the coming weeks and have quite a few orders for future months.

This pattern is so well written and easy to follow. Sometimes I have a hard time with written directions, but not with Andrie Designs. They are always clear and easy to understand. This bag is one of my absolute favorites!

My second Roll with it Tote is already cut out (cork this time), interfaced, and ready to go, but sewing machine is in the workshop waiting for repair! However, the tutorial and pattern is easy to follow . I particularly like the outside pockets.

I was delighted with my finished Roll with it Tote. The pattern was easily understood. I must admit that I omitted the piping as I am relatively new to bag making. However, after completing this project I am ready for more. Thank you Lisa
