Top stitch the top of each fold using a 1/8” (0.3cm) seam allowance, ensuring you fold the rest of the panel out of the way as you go.

Refold the panel, pin the folds in place and baste down each side to secure using a 1/4” (0.6cm) seam allowance.

Starting at the top, place a card slot side panel down each short edge of the folded card slot panel, right sides together. Stitch to attach using a 1/2” (1.3cm) seam allowance and trim to 1/4” (0.6cm).

Press side panels and seams out. Top stitch using a 1/8” (0.3cm) seam allowance.

Draw a vertical line down the centre of the card slot panel. Topstitch along this line twice to secure (ensuring the card slots are sitting nice and flat) and to create two rows of card slots.

Trim any excess off the bottom of your cards slots panel so your finished panel is between 6 1/2” – 6 5/8″ (16.5cm – 16.8cm) high.

Mark your darts and sew as per Step 11 in the Darcie Pouch pattern. Your uppermost dart should land just under the bottom card slot fold.

Complete your Darcie Pouch as directed in the pattern.
