Have you ever read one of our pattern hacks or tutorials on the blog and wondered, “I wish I could save this to my computer,” or “I wish I could print this”? Well, you’re in luck! Today, we’ll walk you through the steps to save any blog post to your computer for future reference or printing.
Note: I am working on a Mac computer and will be showing you the steps from Google Chrome and Safari, but I will also include steps for saving from a PC below.
I’m using the Heavy Hauler Backpack Hack for this tutorial. If you haven’t read it yet, you can find it here!

For Google Chrome Browsers on a Mac
The first step you will take is highlighting all the text/images in the blog post. Simply start at the heading and go all the way to the end.
Next, you will go to File and Print, even if you are saving to your computer!
Next, click More Settings and then Selection Only. If you don’t, it’s going to save everything across the whole webpage and all comments.
Now tap “Open PDF in Preview”
From here, you can save the PDF to your computer or print it off!
If you are using Mac Safari Browser
Navigate to the blog post of your choosing and click File, and then Print.
On the left-hand side, deselect the pages you don’t wish to print. It’s usually the first page and then the bottom 5-6 pages.
For saving, tap the arrow beside PDF in the bottom left corner and select “Save as PDF”
For printing, simply click ‘Print’ instead!
For PC Users
The first step you will take is highlighting all the text/images in the blog post. Simply start at the heading and go all the way to the end.
Next, you will go to File and Print, even if you are saving to your computer! Next, click More Settings and then Selection Only. If you don’t, it’s going to save everything across the whole webpage and all comments.
Now tap Destination and select “Save as PDF”
From here, you can save the PDF to your computer or print it off!
Now you have your blog post, tutorial or pattern hack saved to refer to whenever you need to!
