Hi everyone! As many of you may be aware, a couple of weeks ago I attended my very first trade show and, because I don’t do things by half, the specific trade show I attended was none other than the annual Australian Quilt Market down in Melbourne, Victoria! EEK!
As well as the absolute joy of being immersed in the wonderful world of sewing for a few days, it was fantastic to meet both existing contacts I’d previously only ‘met’ online, as well as new contacts, and talk designs, collaborations and all sorts of other exciting things I can’t yet speak of!
I was lucky enough to be part of the 2 Green Zebras booth – my wonderful distributor here in Australia – and gosh did we have a great weekend! Their booth was spread over four stalls, with one completely dedicated to Tilda fabrics (*sigh*)…

Among the vast array of fabric collections available from 2 Green Zebras, there were a couple in particular that we chose to recruit a few makers for, using sampling fresh off the plane from the Houston Quilt Market in the US! This first collection is called Gleaned by Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman Fabrics –

This next collection is called Mark to Make by Malka Dubrawsky for Robert Kaufman Fabrics –

Of course I couldn’t resist making a new bag and clutch for the trip, so made myself a Creative’s Tote and coordinating Classic Clutch using some of the gorgeous prints from the collection called Diving Board by Alison Glass for Andover –
My two Diving Board Mini Shades Pouches were also on display, along with the cover girl for the Shades of Yesterday Tote Bag pattern made up in the Sun Print 2017 collection by Alison Glass for Andover –
There were a few gorgeous (and super inviting by the way!) dark mint coloured chairs throughout the booth and one in particular was covered in a quilt and bags made using the collection called Palm Canyon by Violet Craft for Robert Kaufman Fabrics –

These last two collections were Maker Maker by Sarah Golden for Andover (Cleo Everyday Wallet & Gather Me Up Clutch) and Psychedelia by Pam Geocke Dinndorf for Robert Kaufman Fabrics –

I’d like to say a mammoth THANK YOU!!!!! to the following talented bag makers who volunteered to make most of the bags we had on display, not only to their very best ability, but in a ridiculously short time frame!!! Please pop over and visit their pages, give them a like and say hi, as they are truly amazing makers and I feel SO honoured to have them on my team!!
