Hi bag makers! Welcome to week four of the Quilt Me A Bag 2025 series. Today we’re unveiling the third bag in the series – the Classic Market Tote!

For this design, Crystal chose to use the quilt-as-you-go method to create a large log cabin block for both the front and back outer panels. She had great fun piecing the panels together, choosing many of the log cabin strips purposefully to show off the details in the prints.
For the quilting on the upper panel of the Classic Market Tote, Crystal used painters’ tape to mark out her lines. This makes for quick and easy quilting with next to no measuring!
To secure the quilting in place for each panel, Crystal stitched all the way around within the seam allowance. This ensures it all stays in place when the panels are sewn together!
The fabrics featured in this bag were generously sponsored by FreeSpirit Fabrics and are from the talented designer Tim Holtz. This collection is called Palette Purple and is inspired by his love of eclectic vintage.
