Hi everyone and welcome to one super-duper exciting pattern release!! Since my gorgeous wee Bree’s Box Toiletry Caddy was revealed in the May issue of the Australian magazine Homespun, I’ve received SO many compliments on the design and also countless “I can’t WAIT for you to release this pattern!!!” comments as well so thank you to all for your awesome excitement surrounding this pattern!!
Bree’s Box evolved out of a bit of frustration funnily enough…. I was traveling to teach some classes and, as always seems to be the case, the vanity in the motel I was staying at was small with not much surface area to set up my toiletries. Being the organised type of person that I am, I like to set up my moisturisers, make up etc. so it’s all handy and easily accessible when away from home (just like it is when I’m at home).
It didn’t take long for me to ponder the possibility of creating a toiletry bag that could sit open like a tools caddy once AT your destination, but also function as a reliable and generous bag during transit TO your destination as well.
I started playing with shapes, closures and carrying ‘devices’, and several prototypes later arrived at what we now know as the Bree’s Box Toiletry Caddy!
With dainty, yet sturdy, carry handles, outer mesh pockets to organise those smaller items once at your destination, and two inner zipper pockets, she packs a punch and much to my surprise (and that of my testers!), she holds a LOT more than you would expect!
My testing team have had an absolute blast making their own versions of the Bree’s Box Toiletry Caddy and you can find all of their beautiful creations below!
