Sunny Day Satchel

Introducing the Sunny Day Satchel by Andrie Designs! This practical satchel bag is designed with both style and function in mind.

It features two zipper pockets for the secure storage of important items, along with a handy key hook strap to keep your keys easy to find while out and about. The simple closure strap is easy to sew and eliminates the need for uncommon hardware, while the adjustable crossbody strap offers flexibility in how you wear your bag.

Add optional piping and rivets for an extra pop of detail, and you have a stylish Sunny Day Satchel that’s perfect for everyday use, rain, hail or shine!

This pattern comes with two files – the pattern instructions/pieced pattern pages, and a large print pattern pieces file suitable for printing at your local print shop on the correct sized paper. It has 17 pages of clear, detailed instructions. It is suitable for an advanced beginner sewer. All pattern pieces have been digitally drawn. Wary of zippers? Don’t be! Throughout the pattern we give detailed and comprehensive instructions, diagrams and links to our complementary video tutorials to make adding the zippers an easy and stress-free experience.

• Lining, Flap Lining, Closure Strap (e.g. quilting cotton) – 2/3yd (61cm)
• Zipper Pockets (e.g. quilting cotton) – 18” X 17” (46cm x 43cm)
• Fabric for Piping (e.g. quilting cotton) – 1/2yd (46cm)
• Light-Medium Weight Fusible Interfacing (e.g. Pellon Shapeflex SF101, Legacy Shapeflex L-SF101) (NOTE: based on a 40”/100cm width) – 1 3/4yd (160cm)
• By Annie’s Soft and Stable Foam Interfacing (or equivalent foam) OR Fusible Fleece (i.e. Pellon Thermolam 971F, Vilene H640) – 18″ x 37” (46cm x 94cm)
• 2 Rectangular Rings, 2 Sliders – 1 1/2” (38mm)
• 1 Swivel Hook – 3/4” (19mm)
• 1 Coordinating Long Pull Zipper (i.e. #4.5 YKK)  -10” (25cm)
• 1 Coordinating Dress Zipper – 9” (23cm)
• 6 Rivets – 3/8” x 1/4” (9mm x 6mm)
• Cotton cording (3/32” size (2.5mm size)/size 00) – 3 2/3yd (3.4m)
